SECRETS OF LIFE AND DEATH - THE DEATH
When the body is tired, some rest refreshes it. Sleep revitalizes mind, body and senses. In sleeping state knowledge of self is minimized, it's like a forgotten state. With deeper sleep the forgotten state is more mature and refreshing. Death is also like a forgotten state, a deepest sleep which is necessary to rejuvenate life on this planet. The difference is - after sleep memory is gained back and after death a new memory begins. Death is a necessity as well as hindrance for the life.
DEATH IS A NECESSITY
It is a necessity because anybody can wish to live forever but practically it is very difficult to live for even one thousand years. Exceptions are always there and a forever life can be suitable for only awakened ones. Awakened souls go beyond the wishes of life and death. Time can neither please of torment them. For others involved in worldly affairs only an eternal life shall be difficult to bear with. With normal ways of the world a prolonged life shall become like a burden. Who would like to live for 1000 years with a rucksack of problems, complexities and dilemmas of life? No Sir, 500 years are more than enough. After a prolonged work or state, a feeling of change and rest is natural. In hundreds of years many things tried out shall loose luster and the existence shall be boring. A tendency to forget negative and useless is also there in consciousness. Death offers solution to all these problems and gives a fresh start.
DEATH IS A HINDRANCE
If seen from other perspective death is also a hindrance to purpose of life. What is purpose of life? It's progress towards higher states. Experiences of life provide wisdom and maturity. A major part of life is wasted in follies and by the time the wish to make sincere efforts for one's deliverance arises the time is over. If a person gets chance to live for a few hundred years there are ripe chances that in first 200 years all worldly wishes, greed, lust shall loose attraction and by completion of 300 years a person shall be more like a saint. The rest of time shall be spent doing good to others and oneself. But death restricts gaining of experience and stages of higher consciousness. It seems death is playing a game with life and don't want to let it progress to its highest peaks. What can be done to avert this situation? Plans can be made for thousands of years, but one moment of death is never known and it washes away all the drawings. Consciousness is lost in one moment and ‘I' become ‘I am not.' Here is a clue to face death. If death is only a moment life should also be a moment. A moment to live life to its fullest, to fulfill all desires, to do whatever is in mind? No. Life should imitate death to counter it. The journey from ‘I' to ‘I am not' is better completed in life itself, it can bring the doors of eternal life near.
